THE 8th FLOOR

The 8th Floor follows a woman as she is forced to confront the fragments of herself and discover an urgency to live.

​

The 8th Floor is an original production set in the waiting room of a psych ward. The main character, Bekah, encounters the fragments of her ego and struggles to accept them as they are. Ultimately, they are the catalyst for her to embrace change and step into a new chapter of her life. The 8th Floor is the transient landscape in which we all will find ourselves at one point or another.

Mia Giovanna Kuzma is a movement artist originally from Vashon Island, Washington. She moved to Pittsburgh and earned her BFA in dance at Point Park University in 2025. Kuzma has presented her choreography in Seattle, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Mia Giovanna continues to create interdisciplinary works that touch on themes of humanity as the newest resident artist at The Space Upstairs.​
